I've always loved your Clinic reviews, you might be the only critic who truly appreciates them, so I'd love to see you talk about their newest record.

Thanks! 'Free Reign' I was put off by the 2 different mixes and probably still haven't worked out which one I like best. I will add to my 'to-do' list, watch this space!

Yeah, I find it hard to choose between the two mixes because there's not a huge difference between them, I'm not really sure why they felt to officially release the second set as an album. I'd probably choose the band's mix as the definitive release just because the loose, spacey feel they go for feels more appropriate for the sloppy psych jams they're making.

Fantastic review, and not just of the album but of the band itself as well. They have truly carved out their own little unique niche in the music world. Like John Peel said of The Fall, they're always different, always the same.
